Default Another great hunt with Stealthman(pics)

I just got in from Nebraska and hunted with Stealthman and a couple of our friends. Despite hunting in hurricane Nebraska and only getting in a couple of hours a day, we did fairly well. I can't tell exactly where we were at as I was blindfolded, but I do know that we were within the border!!!!

Haha, i too was hunting in Nebraska in the crazy weather. Instead of the hurricane we had a blizzard! hahaha it was tough hunting with the birds all grouped up and not coming to the decoys or calls...

Good pics, congrats on the good hunt!

Congrats on the birds.

I had a farm hand tell me yesterday that he had one gobbling right in behind his house.

BUT I will be in Nashville Tn. the opening weekend at a dance competition with my daughter and the 2nd weekend is opening day of my sons baseball season.

Gonna be tough to get out this year but I am going to try.

We noticed the same thing, it should get better as the hens start to nest. It seems like every one we killed, we had to watch a bunch of hens walk by before the tom would come by. I think that we were more or less steering the hens towards us and they were sucking in the toms. The weather did not help much at all either. A couple of the days consisted of a bunch of sitting around waiting for a break in the weather. I had a great time tough.

Nice birds! I am planning on turkey hunting with a bow this year, what kind of tips/arrows should I use, do I need to do anything with my bow?

We were all using spitfires. I lowered the poundage and arrow weight a little also. With the arrows staying in the birds, all of them were anchored in place.
