This stand would only work on a perfect tree, basically the same tree that a climber is used on.

Looks pretty cool. I think that it would be the type of stand you would have to set up in advance. I just don't see it as practical for a same day setup. Looks heavy and time consuming.

I like the idea, and it'd be asafe way to hunt, but 30 min setup time??? Thats what they claim, and its probably more like 45min until you get used to it.... Im just wondering how much noise you'd make putting this thing together in the woods.
HuntingEd, that's exactly what I thought. It's a nice idea, but way too long to set up and unless you're leaving it there I don't think it would be very practical. It isa step in the right direction and I like the trap door entry system.

Yea, thats what made me think it'd bea good stand to setup and leave in, but i can get 20' ladder stands for $85 at dicks sporting goods... if they can beat that price then i'd consider it.

I think it is a good idea but they can impove i think

First off, imagine carrying all of that to your spot that is about 1/4 mile to a mile away. that would take an army to get it out there

Second, it looks like it can be spotted on a tree quite easy. thus, theft. i don't see any security options on it either. if i'm paying big bucks for a treestand, i don't want it stolen.

Third, i like the trap door and how it goes up but somehow i think the system that they use, the weight limit will be less than others on the market.

i think it is headed on the right track tho! just needs some more thinking

WBH, I just saw that stand @ the Wi Deer/Turk expo in Madison this past weekend. It has it's qualities. The platform is against the ladder portion & u raise it w/the rope on a pulley system. Couple of problems. It's not easily portable, meaning can't take it & out w/you. If u have land that u can leave it up, that would be great. The other problem is the amount of noise it makes when hauling up the platform. I think there is a safety locking mechanism, like dogears on ladders, that clack loudly when raising it. That was my biggest concern, especially early morning. You would hear that thing a mile away. Very innovative though.
