This morning, while out checkinghis septic tank because the drains in the house are all plugged [:'(],my dadheard a turkey gobble in the neighbor's woods and then they came out intohis alfalfa field to eat and strut.My dad and Iare neighbors, and I have not seen a turkey around here in over 10 years so I was really excited about it. I have no intention of hunting them this year as I would like their population to get going first, even though I could hunt them legally. My dad is not into turkey hunting at all and so he did not pay any attention to how big any of the toms were, but at least it gives me hope for the future. Wish us luck that this time the turkeys are able to sustain and grow their population.

Maybe in a few years I can post a picture like GMMAT with 25 birds in one field

Wow thats great. I always just assumed there were turkeys everywhere. Hunt with your camera this year, lets see some pics.

There were 10 total, but I don't know how many were toms for sure. At least 2 were. I figure that is good though because more hens = more eggs = more turkeys for the future.

25 birds in one field???? man thats a small flock compared to what i see every day, try close to 100 in one field and another 50-80 in another....ill have to get pics when the weather gets better and the birds are out.
