Slick Trick 1" Standard or 1 1/8" Magnums?

I am now fullly convinced that the Slick Tricks are a very good way to go. I see on their webpage they have the 1" Standard heads and they have the 1 1/8" Magnums? Which should I get?Areall of the broadheads you order from their webpage the newer ones, meaning theyve been upgraded to the MUCH SHARPER blades? Thanks for the help.

With your draw weight and length I would suggest the "Standards".

Great heads, this season will be my 5th using them [8D]

On the 100s you can use either blade size. So if you bought Mags and didn't like them you could buy replacement standard blades.

I too would suggest the standard blades for you. For turkey the magnums would be a great choice but at your specs and for deer size game the standard blades would be your best bet.

I haveused both, 1 on a buck and the other on another buck this last year and they both did the job. When I practiced with them, they both flew the same and the cutting width is not much different. Yes, they should all come with the new blades and they are very sharp. You can't go wrong with which ever you decide to get.

I'm just curious why you guys are recommending the smaller blades for his set up. We all know that the faster the bow the harder it is to steer bigger bladed broadheads, hence all the micro heads that are out for today's speed bows. KDS does not have to worry about this because this set up should produce moderate speed. If it is for penetration, 1/8th of an inch should not make that much of a difference on a fixed blade head. Slick Tricks are known for their accuracy and penetration, so I would think that this set up would be more than adequate for either the standards or the magnums.

Thoughts?

I would also go with the Magnums. You shouldn't have any problem with them being an1/8" bigger, I'm guessing your Muzzys wwere 1 1/8" as well.

I was told that if you order from Slick Trick's website that you get the "Lutz Solingen" blades. Are those supposed to be good? Thanks for all the help, ill probably be picking some up soon, even though season isnt for a while.
