I've owned and trained German Shorthair pointers. I had an awesome Viszla. I've hunted behind some Weimeraners. Right now, this is my "versatile" dog. She hunts and is also great in the "watch dog" area, if ya know what I mean.;) Her kill list includes possums, raccoons, squirrels and one coyote.Last time I took her pheasant hunting, we limited out in the first hour. She minds extremely well which I find to be a huge assest in ANY dog.

Heres my number 2 hunting buddy, Gretchen. She doesnt hunt anything well, but loves to go out and try, she will point a little, she will tree squirrels, a little, but she can find deer, shes located a few deer for me, and I try to put her on a few trails a year and she does love that. Shes a great family pet, and a super watch dog, very protective over my number 1 hunting buddy.lol.

Dan, awesome pic of your wife and lab!! the kid is cute too!! that really is a beautiful lab though, i've got two black labs that are my world and are my hunting buddies when my dad is not available!!!

He likes walking miles and miles (up-hill) and has a nose like no other.
He sniffed out an iPod in a Hardees parking lot!!
He was rewarded with a Mushroom burger..........:D
