Well a few random reviews I found on the internet someone stated that they werent the sharpest and needed to be sharpened out of the box. Is this true? Cuz everyone else says they are really sharp. I hate broadheads that feel like butterknifes

There were a lot of complaints about sharpness early on. Gary switched suppliers and started obtaining German Lutz blades, and all reports have been good since. I used them last season with good results, and they fly as touted.

Having said that, I'll be shooting Muzzy MX-3s this season. I like the 1 1/4" cutting diameter and the .025 blades on the Muzzys... I've already talked to several people who've shot them, and all reports are that they're flying as well as anything out there on the market. I also like the fact that Muzzy throws in a free set of practice blades with each package.

I guess the older heads, had some sharpness issues. The "new" blades are very sharp. I haven't had any sharpness issues.

Now hurry up and stop reading replies and get out there and buy a package!!!

So basically and package of Slick Tricks no matter where I buy them are not going to have the sharpness issue because theyve been dealt with? Thanks for the help by the way

There are a lot of broadheads out there that I'm sure will work well - not too many bad ones. But in this part of the world, the Muzzy three blade is considered the "Remington 870" of hunting broadheads.
