It's about time!!!

Just kidding!

I remember you talking about that squirrel right before the season ended and deciding what to do..

I'm not sure if you and the wife are into feeding the birds and other wildlifearound the house. You might want to just put out a feww corn cobs or sunflower seeds around to just keep it around.

Squirrels love sunflower seeds. I'm sure it would always be hanging around if it had free meals available. Hopefully it will pass on a few of those genes.

I feel you'll have much more enjoyment seeing it "Alive" around the house. It would make a neat mount but I think you'd sorta regret killing it. I think you know where I'm coming from;)

Thats apretty neat looking squirrel. However, I don't believe that I would shoot the thing.

It also seems like an arrow would do toomuch damage to that pretty blonde coat.:)

Like alot of you, this is the first blonde squirrel I've ever seen. I've seen a handful of black ones and one albino in the past but never a blonde though I've had many blondes in my day.;)

If it's around next squirrel season, I think I'll attempt for it with my bow, I'm thinking a judo point and then rely on my taxi to do his artistic work. Of course I'll have a little squirrel stir fry just to keep with tradition. I used to love squirrel potpie but they little buggers are just too much of a pain to clean but this one will taste good.

It's what, 7 months til bow opener and then squirrel too....until the time comes, I'll enjoy watching for her each morning. :D

Cool picture! When I took mammalogy they had a fox squirrel that looked just like that, it is a different color morph, sometimes caused by stress such as a harsh winter or all the energy required to raise her young. It could also be genetic related and if she has more offspring you could see a few more like that? If you know no one else is in the area hunting squirrels let her live for a few more years and try to harvest her, It would be a really neat mount non the less!!
