Default Outdoor Channel Viewers....

Did anyone see Primos' The Truth this evening? Just wondered if you noticed anything weird about the Iowa shotgun hunt. The hunter took a shot at a running buck, didn't go check for a hit, and then killed another buck a few minutes later. This might seem a little nit-picky, but firing a projectile at a critter and not following up the shot is just unethical and irresponsible.

PBB,

I did not see the show, but I do have a question for you. Are you sure the second shot was a few minutes later and not edited to appear that way? I mean, could the shot have been from the same stand the next day, only edited to appear a few minutes later?
Maybe they did check. Without deeing the show it is hard for me to comment, but if they did not verify the first shot then yes, it may be unethical. I say it may be unethical because they might have been hunting an area that allowed more than one deer per day. If so, I would have stayed in the stand also to see what else came by.

I agree, if the checked, I think that they should have at least shown it. How long could that take to show on TV. It left a very important question open to us.

I also know that they have the privilege of replay, not that it should be totally be substituted for checking.

I seen the show and thought the same thing. He took a shot at a running animal, and if they went and looked to see if he had hit the deer, they should have shown it.I like the show, and in my opinion, its one of the best on the Outdoor channel, but I didn't agree with the timing of the first shot.
