Default Turkey hunters?

Anyone here hunt turkey exclusively with a bow? I got a turkey with mine during deer season and think it would be exciting to try during spring turkey season. Any tips you want to share?

We hunt with bows only. We are headed to NE on the 25th to start hunting them.

This year we are going to attempt to get some footage of hunts outside of the double bull, using natural groundblinds and whatnot.

If this is your first year i would definately recomend a double bull. Also i would buy their dvd. It comes with a bunch of great hunts and also has an instrutional DVD with it that will help you alot setting up for turkeys in the spring.

I have taken many spring birds with my shotgun, but this will be the first year I attempt it with a bow. I am looking forward to it. I have a ground blind, and some good decoys, so I should have as much of a leg up as I can get on them.

Have taken several with the gun.....0 with bow.

I'll be hunting them hard this year.....and I've got some really good turkey hunters coming with me. Hopefully we'll have some footage to share. I bought a video camera just for this.

4/7/07 my son and I are out there for youth day. 4/14/07 is opening day.

I have hunted turkeys with a bow for several years, ok 20 years. My advice to all the beginers is be patient. This year you may get one on opening day and think this is not so bad what is everyone talking about "how tough it is to get a long beard with a bow", and next year not even get a shot off. Take your time and be PATIENT! The shot will be there or it won't, you try to force it and you will get busted!

Goodluck, gobble gobble!

Up to this fall, used a shotgun, now after two bow kills, can't see myself using anything else, so now I would say I exclusively hunt them with a bow!
