After 2 years finally got my 2nd Deer with a bow.
I got him last saturday Dec 7 at 5:00pm in the state of "Nuevo Leon" in the North of Mexico, about 20 miles from the border with Texas. It was our second weekend after open Deer season in Mexico (bow or rifle).
I was hunting from the ground in a fresh deer trail (we really don't have too many big trees around here), when I heard this deer approaching from my back, he pass me about 10 yards away and stop in a small open at 20 yards. I got a good arrow on him, got one lung and one blade cut his heart, the arrow exited the other side; the deer ran 60 yards before it collapsed.

Some times It's hard to bow hunt from the ground, thank god! we have a pretty good deer population, carbon suits and 3d camo....
I use a Mathews Ultra2 @ 65lbr and a Terminator Arrow with Muzzy 100grn 4 blades.

Congrats on your buck.<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> I've spent a lot of time
bowhunting coues deer in southern Arizona...tough
terrain and really tough to get close
enough for a shot with a bow. Well done, a trophy
to be proud of.
I'm not getting a pic of your buck to come up
on my screen. Anyone else having this problem?

Great buck! The one I am now concentrating on is on that scale if not bigger. Way to go-and on the ground, too.
