i shot this 12 pointer this year an couldnt find it.i hit the deer in the shoulder.had blood just couldnt find.iam shootin 60lbs draw weight 250 grain arrow 100 grian muzzy.should i raise the grain of my broadhead to get a clean pass through

No, just blame it on your equipment.... that's what most folks would do! How about you claim that your b-head didn't open and failed you.... oh, wait a minute, I guess you needed a mech for that! 
All kidding aside, I'm glad you're not fishing for excuses. It was simply poor shot placement and there is very little chance that the deer would have been recovered with ANY b-head you could have been shooting. Of course, my choice would have been the Rocket Steelhead and I'm betting it would have penetrated even deeper, atleast that's been my experience. Better luck next time
