RE: Bow Opinions...Please HELP!!

I think setting up a top shelf bow for under $1,000 can be done easily.

For example

Most Bowtechs around here are $650-$700

Rest $75
Sight $80
Quiver $15
Peep $8
Stabilizer $20

That is under $850 for midrange accessories........he would even have $150 to apply in upgrades if he wanted an accessory that was more pricey.

He sounds like this isn't his first bow so I am assuming he has a release, arrows, case, etc If he does not he will be right around a grand with my prices listed plus the other stuff he needs to start from scratch.

It can be done easily.

I AGREE 100%!!!! I had just over $500 in my Reflex Highlander, including arrows and BH's when I set it up, and if you already have arrows and BH's, then all you really need is REST, SIGHT, STAB., and QUIVER. Pretty easy to do Quiver and Stabilizer for $50-75, then a Vectrix in my local shop runs $690, add a $120 rest, and a $100 sight, plus tax, should be pretty easy to stay UNDER $1000!!!

Hoyt Vectrix or the Bowtech Guardian. Outfit either with the drop away rest of your choice and a black gold radiant sight.

I will probably catch grief for this, but it is what I have done for three years. If you know your dimensions and you know what products you want, you can outfit yourself very affordably through ebay. I set up an 05 mighty mite and then an 06 Allegience with:
dead nuts pro 5 pin
tranquilizer stabilzer
braided sling
scott lil goose release
alpine soft loc quiver
and now sts stabilizer
All for less than 800.00
I also get all my arrows and broadheads, optics, cases, camo, stands and harnesses, boots and scent accessories from ebay too.

Two words..............Student Loans!!! :D

I agree, but pick your spots bud.......you don't NEED a $150 sight to kill a deer. Don't get junk but don't put yourself on Ramen noodles for 6 months to outfit a bow. You will have plenty of money when you finish school.

Bowtech Equalizer...............hands down.
