Mo - how many piebalds have you ever seen in the woods? For most it's a once in a lifetime experience. Milk or no, I would have shot it.

Two- I don't kill baby deer. I don't care if they have a Mickey Mouse image on their side. It was an honest answer to his question. I have no problem with him or anyone else shooting baby deer. Thats gospel.

GMMAT, thats a nice looking hide, congrats.Piebalds are rare and a real trophy in my eyes. I've only seen one in he woods since I've been hunting. I first got a few pics on my trail cam, then hunted this deer (only)for about 9 days straight. Saw it 4 times with no shot opps and killed it on the 5th sighting. It was mostly white.

Moho.....I have no problems with your honest answer. I took the deer and I have no regrets. You wouldn't have.

No problem.

If I see another one I'll probably shoot it, too. It was good eatin', and I'd love to have a full body mount. We have too many deer here, anyway, but I've never targeted "baby deer" and I think you know that, too.

GMMAT, you've been around here long enough to realize that you don't need to justify a given kill. Piebalds, for the most part don't live lengthy lives, mainly because of thier color (stick out like a sore thumb)and the fact they have rather poor eyesight. The Piebald I shot was a yearling as well and I'm just as proud of it as any other deer, buck or doe, that I have taken.Be proud!

I am proud of it. If I wasn't....I wouldn't have posted it, here. I've had MANY, MANY people tell me they've never seen one. I got lucky......and I saw this one twice the same day. If I'd had my way about it.....he'd have been dead 10 minutes earlier than he was (My bow was on the end of my haul line on the ground when he came in the first time).

I've never said I wasn't proud of this animal. I am.
