Ya know, that's really a tough one, and a personal choice. There is so much involved in the purchase of a new bow......First is money! You just don't get a heck of a lot for a trade in anymore because the technology is changing so fast, everybody wants the "latest and greatest." I buy a new bow (or 2 [&:]) every year, but I have the luxury of working in a pro shop which makes that MUCH easier to do. I basically just trade in my "old" one for a new one. Done.

I dunno......I guess every 2 or 3 years is good....That would be enough for it to be a significant upgrade.

If you can hit what you are aiming at and are happy with the way it shoots, what is the benefit of a new bow?
I purchased a new one last year and that was the first one since 98. I was killing deer with my old bow all that time....I just decided I wanted to have a better quality bow.

And I'm just guessing here, but I BET the new one is more fun to shoot. Smoother drawing, faster and quieter.....Maybe not faster as speeds have been fairly stable for a while....

That's another benefit of buying a new bow....They are more fun, and easy to shoot. The technology changes so fast anymore it's tough to keep up.

I agree here. Yes they may be smoother, faster etc but are you willing to be losing money each year on trade in's? This means alot to some peopleothers it does not. Personal preference i guess. Any club will do it. How often you want to buy a new set of clubs is up to you. My bow is probably over 10 years old, still works just fine and I will keep shooting it because i cannot justify buying a new one at the moment. No set time when u have to upgrade or if you have to upgrade at all.

I don"t think it is more fun to shoot. Just shoots better. That is where the technology comes in.
It is smoother drawing, quieter and faster, yes.
I have increased my indoor league ave. by at least 15 points. I have gotten a lot of tips on shooting during this time also.
If you have the money or resources (like yourself) to get a new bow every year I say do it.
