I've always been partial to PSE's...BUT, I've only owned three bows in my life....I try to stick with one that I'm comfortable with for a while.....I just bought a PSE Firestorm this year that fits me like a glove....it's short, like me.....it's stout, like me....LOL.....anyway, it just fits me.......BUT, the proof is in the puddin, and even though I've never owned one, the Mathews Bows win alot of competitions.....

In our line of work, we must be able to play Dixie and the Battle Hym of the Republic, With Equal Enthusiasm.

pdq 5oh.... I shot a PSE Baby G 5 Years ago at 328 fps, shot a PSE Carrera 4 years ago at 322 fps and a Q2XL the last 3 years at 315 fps, so to answer your question, NO, I am not having a hard time with the extra speed (speed still doesn't help you judge yardage or make the shot for you).A BK II at 30" draw would like to jump right out of your hand, at 28" it shoots just fine, Why? I haven't a clue, it just does, nobody even mentioned the Pro 38 and it isn't a fair comparison to the BK II they are 2 totally different bows. To answer your next question before you ask it, I am shooting a Pro 40 Wheely this year for 3D and as I said before, I hunted with a Patriot this year. Also, FYI, I've played the 3D game (IBO and ASA) for over 5 years now, don't comment on me like I'm some kind of beginner or something, Thanks.

Not to offend anyone, but if anyone buys a bow because they win alot of tournaments or kills alot of deer, you are a sucker.

Mathews just has more money to pay for the best shooters, If you put all those Mathews shooter on any other bow, they will still take home as many trophies....

Like I said, this is just my opinion (I own an old faithful MQ1)and not trying to offend anyone...

* Never shoot at the first deer you see, wait for the MONSTER that's lagging behind *

Well I purchased a Fred Bear TRX in February and it was my first bow that I ever owned. I had never even shot a bow before going shopping......I had done research but never shot even one arrow.

10 months later this is the shot I made on a 6 pt during my first year in the woods with a bow.

Sure looks like I made the right choice to me

pinmaster, it was not my intention to offend you. I figured the smiley faces would point that out. It was more a friendly jab at Mmmaaattt. It was also never my intention to portray you as a beginner. Sorry to have been taken the wrong way. The P38 DC IS very similar to the 2002 BKII. And I stand by my statements regarding the two bows. As PAB pointed out, there may be some increased recoil with the longer draw. I doubt to the extent you claim. I've shot both and don't see it the same way as you. Are you, by chance, speaking of the 2001 BKII? That is a totally different bow.

What about "Stick" Bows??? I am leaning toward the new Alpine--Shot it last week! WOW! What do ya think!
I like the Legacy too, but, no Mat dealrs around here have a range to test shoot bows! They look pretty on the wall though!!
The Hoyt dealer here just fell under CLOSED!! So that kind of narrows it down!
After bow season, It's OPEN season on a new and FINAL bow!!!-John

I had a reflex extreme an it was an awesome bow.
I picked up 2002 ultra tec and it is one of the best bows I ever
shot. I recently had the chance to shot a 2003 razor tec. It was smooth, very quiet, and very nice all around bow.

I shoot a Mathews Leagacy, it's smooth, forgiving, accurate, and fast. I know this probably fits many others to, but it's the best for me.

Come on people,You dont really believe all that crap they spoon feed you in the glossy's do you

Not me! I personally extensively tried 5 major brands. Not one came close to Mathews. I wasn't a manufacturer freak before, but I am for now!
