Has anyone ever heard of Noel Feathers

Noel wasn't the guy who shot the elk in Yellowstone. That was Donald Lewis. http://www.hcn.org/servlets/hcn.Article?article_id=2405
Noel was buying deer and registering them as wild deer and crossed state lines once (at least).

I thought I also heard that he had a guy shooting them with a dart gun (drugging them up)...Elk I believe, then calling them in and shooting them....This was supposed to have happened on National Forest land....

I remeber watching a video of him bowhunting in what looked to be bitter cold conditions. I think Fitzgerald was his camera man for a little while before he made a name for himself.

From: Northern Missouri\'s Grand River Outfitters
I remember hearing about the bust, I think he bought a buck from a fence, then filmed kill in Missouri and maby tagged it in Illinois. I would think in North Missouri, one would just hunt good ground and keep the camera ready. I live here and see some dandy's. I think it was between ST. Louis and Columbia MO.

Okay fellas-I will be your Paul HArvey on Noel-I know the rest of the story.
I lived in his home town, belonged to the same local Bowhunting club. We competed & our paths have crossed MANY times &have known him for 50 years..
He was a friend once & now he walks the other way when he sees me.
Idon't make it a habit to air things in public so if you want the story
private e-mail me.
Noel was an excellent shooter & Bowhunter. Nice guy, yes, the locals called him the man with the golden touch.
Fitzgerald-yes, no matter what he says, they were thicker than thieves. Take that for what it's worth.
