RE: New Mathews Bow
Check out my signature. I have shot the outback, SB, and SBXT. The hoyt dont feel right to me at all and i cant strand the way the guardian looks(no offense to Bowtech people its jus a personal thing.) Anyways for my 16th bday i went in the shop and picked up the Dren and fell in love with it. Due to a shoulder injury in hockey i have only been able to shoot the bow twice and i love it. My favorite thing is how light it is and the new realtree finish is amazing. Speed doesnt matter that much to me like it does to some guys. But i do like how fast the bow it. But if u ask the Hoytor Bowtech ppl they will tell you its nuhtin but a carp shooten bow. haha

RE: New Mathews Bow
I went with Bowtech this year instead of Mathews again, but not easily. The Drenalin is a nice bow and has a sweet look to it with those thin limbs. Can't go wrong there. Shoots very smooth also.

RE: New Mathews Bow
Mathews makes great bows.Elite makes great bows--but their customer service is still very much unproven.imho.The mathews is cheaper than elites. There are a whole bunch of great bows out on the market today--go try as many as you need until you find the one you just have to get!;)

RE: New Mathews Bow
I shot the drenaline this week and it was very impressive...the speed was very impressive and it was extremely quiet, very little hand shock....i've also shot the Vectrix, it had less hand shock to me than the Drenaline, but was louder and not as fast..

RE: New Mathews Bow
There are so many nice bows out there, you have to get out and try as many as you can. That will really mess you up. I like Mathews, but this year I went Bow shopping with my brother, we shot Bowtech, Hoyt, Ross, Mathews, etc. All great bows. He ordered a Hoyt Vucan, 30" DL, 70#. I have a Mathews Legacy, which I love. But boy that Drenalin was sweet!:D

RE: New Mathews Bow
I picked up my Drenalin today. It is everything I anticipated: quiet, fast, light-weight, and low to non-existent recoil affect to name a few. I'm really looking forward to getting better acquainted with it, and after shooting it briefly at the dealer's I already know that my season next year will be very successful!!
After talking with a hunting buddy of mine, I have come to the conclusion that while the Drenalin is a top of the line bow as I'm sure the new Bowtech and Hoyt models are; it's mostly about access to knowledge and information. For me, I have a Mathew’s dealer to go to and am able to have a premium market bow set up just for me. The dealer has access to all the tools, information, and knowledge on how to fine-tune such a product for me personally. That speaks volumes on how any product can or cannot be of use to a consumer. I could have spent a little less up front and went to a large retail store to get a nice bow, but who there is going to make the necessary adjustments so it fits me? It is a rarity that I would find the service I need there, and consequently I would get little for my money. |
RE: New Mathews Bow
chaz ... I love mine ..... love it. I always gey a little nervous with new technology though ..... we shall see ... in the meantime, I have hardly missed and I have been shooting 30+ yards mostly :D
