I hunt with xx75 Camo Hunter 2213 Superlite.
I went the other day to buy some more arrows and was told I'm hunting with the wrong arrow....Help what is wrong with this arrow if any thing or was the salesmen telling me this so I would buy something else...This store does not carry this arrow..

Is the 2213 spined right for your setup, if yes then you have right arrow.

Dog - paper tune your setup and you tell us - is it the right arrow ?? If it tears a bullet hole, forget what everyonoe tells you.

I shoot a 2216 shaft out of my longbow - bare tunes great, and it doesn't match any chart I find. In other words, it shouldn't work, but does, and thats all I care about.

I shoot 2213's for target (same exact arrow) and I think the fat shafts might be why you're getting guff. That and the lighter wall thickness. I am going to switch to carbons for hunting but didn't want to spend a bunch for practice arrows and I also was told that carbons will show imperfections in your shooting more than aluminium. If you like the xx75 superlite's then the 2016 is a good shaft for hunting - smaller diameter and thicker walls. Depends on what is spined right for your setup as DE said.

As long as it fits and shoots..... it's a personnal choice. There are all kinds of arrows to choose from. I shot XX75s for years with great success. Then I found the Uni Nocks on the XX78s and that was it for ever and ever. Until I decided to try some carbons a couple years ago..... and they're the &quot;Real Deal&quot; ......... but I haven't figured out what I want to shoot next.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Just as long as you're spined right, can group and tune..... it can be a mop handle.

Dog434,I hunt with xx75 arrows and never had a problem with them.If there was it was my fault.I think what the person was getting at was maybe the 2213 Superlite is not right for the draw weight you are shooting.They have a easton chart at most every archery shop that shows exactly what arrow you can use for your draw weight.I would ask them to show you on the chart they may be right or just don't have that arrow in stock and want to sell you something else.You don't want to be shooting the wrong arrow out of your bow not only for shooting straight but for safety also.

I personally don't like the thin walls because they can drastically reduce penetration.I don't know if that was what they were refering to or maybe the spine wasn't right.

If you are thinking about new arrows,give carbon a serious look,the penetration over aluminum is amazing.As long as the shafts are built correctly you will be amazed.What I mean by correctly is spine,fletching,foc and weight.
