Does shooting w/ a quiver on affect your shooting?

I am giving serious consideration to installing a Hoyt 2 piece quiver on my bow for this fall. There are several reasons for this, but I'm not going to list them here as that's not the info I am after.

Here's the thing....I've been shooting w/ no quiver for quite a few years, I've never liked the added weight...But does shooting w/ a quiver on affect your shooting? It seems that weight added to the side of the bow COULD create an intersting delima.....

i think a heavier bow absorbs more shock but i could be wrong

I don't likehavingaquiver on my bow while huntingfor the fact thatit adds extra weight and noise.[:'(]

I do practice with a quiver on before season and I can't tell a difference in my accuracy.

Why do you want a 2 piece quiver? I have always liked the option of being able to remove it "onthe fly", if I desired.

I shoot with a 1 piece quiver on my PSE and the only
problem i ever had was noise from vibration. After putting
some little limbsavers on it, no longer a problem. Plus if I want
to take it off in a blind just flip the lever and pull it off.
Check out the quicke quivers.

that 2 pc. wuiver is heavy and i would leave it off but i doubt it will affect the arrow flight or accuracy

mobo ... IMO, I think you will notice a difference at first, but if you choose to stay with it, I believe you will get used to it.

I know I've always kept my quivers on when hunting. Once you get used to it you almost feel naked without it. It probably wouldn't take but 1 or 2 practice sessions to realize that what little weight it adds is actually pretty nice.

Shooting with your quiver on might not affect you "BUT" its for sure not going to help you.Go watch some of the top Bow shoots and you won't see anybody shooting with a quiver on.Bow's are not designed to be shot with them on.

RE: Does shooting w/ a quiver on affect your shooting?

i use an Alpine Soft Loc 3 arrow quiver. ive shot it with 3 arrows in it(shot a 4th arrow out of the case) down to shooting it with an empty quiver. i noticed nothing major in terms of accuracy. i had noise issues...but i had it hitting my rest. once i took care of that it wasnt noticable..i do think adding ALOT of arrows to the side of your bow may weigh that side down. i can tell in my hand the weight diffrence..but its not a big amount like a BIGGER quiver and more arrows would be. i dont perfer to hunt with it on though. gets in my way and i cant lay my bow across my lap or bar on my viper with it in my hand. i like to be ready..arrow nocked and bow in my hand..
