Pearson Bows
Has anyone shot any of the new 2007 Pearson bows? esp. the z-32 or z-34. Just curious to see peoples opinions on it. I shot it and liked it alot. Also how does the Pearson quility back up to other bows...?
|
RE: Pearson Bows
I'll be shooting one real soon.
They are one of the brands I chose to sell in my new business:D I get a new Ross and a new Ben Pearson I should have them in about 2 weeks. |
RE: Pearson Bows
my dad doesn't have an 07 but he has an 06 stealth awesome bow. Super quiet and fast too. There bows are all good quality and i may purchase one in the future as well
|
RE: Pearson Bows
Beul I know youve probably said this before but what bow brands are you gonna be carrying in your new shop?
|
RE: Pearson Bows
PEARSON AND ROSS--it sounds like you know what you're doing! Both awesome quality bows imho.
|
RE: Pearson Bows
IMO they seem to be similiar bows... which do you prefer? I also heard Ross is an up and coming bow. someone told me pearsons limbs are known to crack? is this true maybe the new bows won't have that problem.
|
RE: Pearson Bows
This is my 2nd year with pearsons in my shop and they are one of the best bows on the market.

RE: Pearson Bows
do you really think there is much of a difference in quilty and results between a pearson and lets say a hoty or bowtech? if so what is it... because i shot them all and the pearson felt just as nice as the big names.

RE: Pearson Bows
I have looked at and shot the Ben Pearson bows and think they are one of the most underrated and unheard of on the market. Fine bows, for sure.
I chose to sell them in my new business because I feel some archers don't want or need to shoot the "well known" bows (Mathews,Hoyt and Bowtech) I am used to selling great products that aren't well known, I have been selling Buell Motorcycles for 7 years now and most people don't even know what they are, even people that live in Wisconson and the bikes are built in Wisconsin. They are the only company, owned by Harley-Davidson that does build bikes in Wisconsin. I think the Ben Pearson bows will appeal to the same type of person that wants to ride a Buell. Be different from the crowd. I chose Ross because they are as well, a very nice bow. Ross Archery is growing in leaps and bounds in market share and are considered by many, myself included, to be the new BIG kid on the block. I think they are going to have to change it to the BIG 4 pretty quick or someones favorite bow comapny is going to no longer be in the BIG 3. I plan to do my best to help them out with that. Another reason is, these companies were available to me. Of course, the Big 3 were already spoken for in my area. I would love to handle any of the Big 3 as well if they ever become available in my area. Both companies have been great to work with so far. i choose companies I want to do business with, based on product, warranty, and customer service(the end customer and dealer) I have been dealing with companies in different areas of business most of my life, I choose based on the big picture. Some are great, some suck. The best motorcycle leathers are made by a company that I am glad I NEVER have to deal with again. I own about 3000.00 worth of their leathers and love them(the leathers), The company totally sucks at taking care of dealers. If they didn't have the best product out there they would be out of business. I looked at many bow companies and their products before choosing these 2 There are many nice bows on the market today. There are many good bow companies. Take the cheapest one out there and it is still better than a 10 year old, top of the line bow. It is a great time to be a bowhunter!:D |
RE: Pearson Bows
great points.. I think tomorrow I'm going to buy a pearson.. either z-32 or z-34... my roommate is looking into getting the bowtech graudian... i just dont think it is worth spending that money if there is quilty bows like pearson out there for there price.

RE: Pearson Bows
Will do, the work begins this week.
Next weekend is the "paint and build" weekend I have my wife, mother in law, and friends coming in to help me turn it into an archery shop and range. My signs will be done end of next week and get hung on the building. Weds. I pick up 22, 3D targets and 3, 4x5 range targets. My equipment, bow press, chronograph and arrow saw and other stuff should be there by Friday. Inventory will start to ship this week also. |
RE: Pearson Bows
I'm a huge Pearson fan. I've owned Hoyt, Darton, Bear, and 2 Pearson's and I liked the Pearson's best. I'm currently shooting an O6 Pearson Stealth and that thing is hard to beat. Iwouldn't trade it for any bow on the market today including the Allegiance or Guardian.
I took my Stealth to our local shop last week forsome tuning. They sell Bowtech, Hoyt, Martin, PSE and Merlin but not Pearson. They guys there were very impressed with my Stealth. I was shooting through the chrono and the guy working there commented on how quiet my bow was. My Stealth was getting 290 fps with 380 grain arrows and 260 fps with 530 grain arrows. That's at 29" and 70 lbs. And the features on these bows are hard to beat. The angel wing grip is the best grip I've ever felt. They also come with Barnsdale limbs, Vapor Trail Strings and cables, lockable pivoting limb pockets, and frequency ridged 100% machined aluminum risers. |
RE: Pearson Bows
I was looking at the 2006 stealth look very impressive... didnt get the chance to shoot it though... I went with the Z-34 and I am very pleased!

RE: Pearson Bows
Here's a pic of my 06 Stealth. I just "finished" it with a custom STS from MeanV over at Archerytalk. It matches the Mossy Oak Obsession camo and works great with the VibX.
|
RE: Pearson Bows
Nice,
how do you like the STS? Notice any difference? |

Here is my new Z-34

RE: Pearson Bows
I'll bechoosing between the Stealth and Z 34 for my Pearson bow also.
I'll shoot both when they come in next week and decide then. Going to be pretty sweet having a new Ross Cardiac and a new Ben Pearson to play with.:D I think I am going to like being my own boss. |
RE: Pearson Bows
Pearson (z-34)seemed to be a smoother bow than the ross... similar though.
|
RE: Pearson Bows
6 Ben Pearson bows showed up today!
Whoo Hoo! Now if my other orders will come in I can get one setup and shoot it I think I may go with the Z34 over the Stealth but I am not sure yet. |

RE: Pearson Bows
Very nice bows, guys. Any comments on the draw cycle, valley, or wall?
If I can get enough together for a new bow this year, I think it will be a Z-34. I had a McPherson Edge, and it was a pretty impressive bow. I am familiar with the Hybrid cams, having a few Dartons, the Edge, and 2 Champion ETS bows. I am leary of going back to a single cam, but if they work and tune well, I just may have to do it.;) As far as that comment on the Pearson limbs cracking, Pearson has one of the lowest failure rates in the industry for limbs. The new Barnsdale limbs should be very, very nice. |
