I think the point here is not that it's wrong somehow to have a lot of draw weight. My daughter admits that she would go for more if she could, but she can't. The point is that one does not HAVE to shoot a really heavy draw weight bow to hunt.

I shoot a Allegience at 54#, I can easily draw and hold 70 but not from a sitting position. I have been caught off guard before. I shoot better than 250fps and have all the KE I want. I have friends that have to rock to shoot their bows, I can smooth draw from any position, to me it's about less movement and comfort. The added benefit is that I can hold full draw for over 10 min., I have friends who thought they could hold their 70# for as long as me, but it didn't happen. This year I shot a doe at 20 yrds and had complete passthrough and over 1/2 the arrow in the ground. Good sharp broadheads, correct form and equipment and comfort, that is what I believe.
