The only reason mine are is that was the way they were painted at the factory and Wal-Mart didn't have plainer shafts at the time. If the deer has time to look at the arrow coming toward it and think "What a dork, he should have used camo arrows!" then shame on you.

Even though I've had to use them when I couldn't find anything else, I gotta say that camo arrows are baboon-butt ugly! [:'(]

My favorite arrow shaft for many years was the XX75 Autmun Orange. Greatly ticked me off when Easton quit making them.[:@] I always made them up with flo orange nocks, fletched with 5" feathers - two orange and a red.

Important only to me because I like my everything to be camo...
Ask my friends...when I am in the woods there is nothing non-camo with me.
Call it an obsession...it is just the wayI am.

Camo arrows do actually offer one benefit. For those of us that like to shoot a heavier arrow for increased penetration and a quieter shot the camo usually adds 1 to 1.5 grains per inch for an extra 20 - 40 grians added weight.

You can get the same weight benefit from arrows with the woodgrain pattern and have much better looking arrows.

I really don't care if they are camo or not, just as long as they are not glossy looking so that if the sun hits the arrow it won't shine at all...that is my only concern

Ive never had a problem by not using camo ones. Plus you can see your arrow flight better and point of impact better with non camo.

Camo is really a plus if you want to struggle removing your arrows from 3D targets...[:@] Oh, this question is about hunting? Nope, doesn't make a difference. That being said, I just ordered another dozen camo shafts I think they look cool with all white wraps, white blazers, and white nocks.
