Default Spend my $900.00

I'm expecting a few bucks from the IRS soon and will be in the market for a new bow. I have an '03 Hoyt Cybertec now but just want a new toy. (keep in mind I don't know bows, I just know I love them so the following may not even be possible) The things I want in a bow are:

- 250fpsfrom a 400gr total weight arrowwith a 27 inch drawat 60lbs

- smooth draw cycle

- shock free as possible, quiet firing

- forgiving brace height (fill in blank with what your idea of one is)

-around 33"max ata (the shorter the better unless being too short means forgiveness issues)

I seem to remember a discussion where someone mentioned that the 07 Hoyt Vulcan is a great bow that deserves more praise but can't remember where I read it. Can anyone vouche for this bow?

Anyway, I have $900 to spend. Please help me spend it wisely. Oh while we're at it, would you recommend a "package" bow or piecing it together? If the latter, how would you outfit it?

Thanks

I would suggest you shoot all the new bows out there. Bowtech Guardian, Hoyt Vectrix, and Ross Cardiac are just to name a few. I would put a Black Gold sight on it, and some sort of drop away rest. Just my opinion.

The only thing I would add to that would be to also take a look at the Allegiance and Tribute.

Alright so all the bows mentioned so far can meet or exceed the desired requirements preset? I know I have to get out there and shoot'em but what I'm trying to do here is narrow down the selection so I'm not chasing all over the place for bows that don't even meet minimum requirements to begin with.

Hey cougars... "Bowtech Equilizer" heh? This isn't a strictly speed bow is it? Like I said, I want it to do all of the above if possible.

guess no one agrees with the Equilizer, but its the best preformer, id bet my piggy bank that it would out preform the allegiance and everyother one in speed at 26 1/2 inches
