Just curious on how many Whitetail pope and youngs have you guys/gals killed. (125 net score with a bow).

I didn't even see what I think would be a P&Y whitetail in PA until 2 seasons ago, and hadn't had a serious encounter/ opportunity until I started heading to the midwest to hunt out of state 3 seasons ago. 21 seasons total.

170 net and up is the boone and crocket club for rifle. I ave deer bowhunted one year and taken one deer that would make the cut off for p/y. I would never enter a buck in any book or anything as it does not mean much to me to have my name up. I am blessed with a good area so for me i would never pull the pin on something that would not at least go in the 140's.

Having lived in "PRIME" Big Buck Country all my life & never entering anything into P&Y (really not that interested) BUT have 4 from 125 to I guess 150. Thats in FIFTY years & Bowhunting Whitetails in Ill.,Iowa & Ws.. I have missed a few over the years & almost always "SEE" Bucks that would make P&Y.2 Black Bears & 1 Caribou.

May I have they don't exist where I live for 100 Alex? 0 Pope and Young qualifiers shot in 12 years of bowhunting.In my country I have never seen a Pope and Young class buck on the hoof.

I've bow hunted off and on for 16 years, I would say I've hunted 10 years, I've killed 6 P&Y never entered any of them, but the smallest scores 138 net, 5 from public land, 1 from private land that a couple dozen people have permission to hunt on and its only about 300 acres.

3 in 16 years all in New Jersey w/ the bow. 1 in New York w/ rifle. Never entered any...Im waiting for Booners before I go hollywood... Besides, Im not telling anyone where I hunt.lol!

I'm impressed on one hand and surprised on the other (as a pretty new bowhunter). I'd expect LESS from some of the states you guys hunt.....and WAY MORE from the other states.

I"m stuck on 0 as well. This was my first year in IL though, and I did see my first P&Y deer this year.

2 that would definitely qualify and 2 that are slightly under. Perhaps a better question for me is how many should I have?:( There have been some instances had I been in better position or other various reasons I could have good shots.
