Guess I'm old fashioned. I been using thunderheads for a few years and they have not failed yet. Until they do I will stay with them and they are about available in all the sporting -archery stores.

Taken a deer and 5 elk with wasp 3 blade fixed. I have put it through ribs on elk and has stood up just fine. My buds here use spitfires for elk, i am leery of mechanicals but they seem to perform very well for them. For elk you want a good solid strong point.

I like the Montecs by G5. Fly well and are pretty sturdy. They need to be sharpened but I like the re-usability of them.

I have been using the heavey wieghts from Bear ( 2 blades ). But can't buy them here no more so I have been changing to Magnus 140 grain 2 blade broadheads. I can't wait for next season to try them out. My last deer shot with the bear broadheads hit at an angle but, cut thru seven ribs so I am happy with my choice.

go with any fixed blade that's razor sharp and you'll kill all three granted you make good shots.

I shoot muzzys. I tried many different heads, but always go back to muzzys and will never leave again. I don't elk hunt, but I use them on deer and turkeys as well and know people that swear by them for elk.
