Oh hell yeah I have. I'm not that paranoid and have enjoyed walking in without it, not hauling it up in some of my tight spots.

Nope. Never. I've walked up on too many deer on my way into or out of the woods to do something that silly. But then, I'm one of those who stillhunts his way to and from the stand, instead of just stomping blindly through the woods.

I agree AP, that's exactly right but I'm talking out after dark/hours and in before light/hours. Otherwise, it'd be really stupid...

Well, Arthur....If it's dark when I leave.....and dark when I know I'm coming back in the morning.....I think I can pass on the still hunting.

You guys are better men than I am. It hurts my asteroids to sit on stand all freakin' day. I gotta take a break once in a while.[8D]

LOL AP, no sir, not that I haven't sat from dark to dark but I'm talking overnight. I'd never let it hang when I left in daylight, like you I've had too many opportunities headed out or in when light, my bow is always ready.

Never. Humidity, rain, snow all sorts of things can happen. Critters can chew on things you know, like racoons chew all sorts of things. I once dropped a spare string for my recurve out of a tree.. I forgot to pick it up when I left. It was in one of those plastic tubes. When I came back the next day it was chewed to pieces.

I did it once only because I forgot to lower it and said screw it, I'll get it in the morning.
