Almost a climbing misshapp

This weekend I went to the woods to remove a couple of my stands. We recently had some freezing rain and cold temps.I had my full body harness on as well as my climbing system, when I got up around 15-20' one of my feet slipped off theclimbing sticks.Fortunately I was clipped in and my prusic knot was above my head.I'm really happy with this way I have started climbing this season,it's really aslick way.I'm a lineman by trade and through the years climbing many iced up poles in ice storms. We generally knock ice off with our hammers as we climb a pole, and try to gaff into the icy side of the pole, rather than run our safty belt around the icy side.Huntingout of tree stands is a different bird altogether.I thought I would share with you guys.Be carfull out there.

Glad to hear that you were wearing a harness.

Ya know, you could just hunt out of your truck's bucket.;):D

True ducsauce, drawing the bow might be a little tough though, every now and again while up in the air I'll visualize yardages and what it would be like to hunt from 30' or better:D.It would be difficult to hit the back lung of a deer unless I aimed super low:).
