Default NOT bashing Bowtech....just wondering....

What's the selling point for the new Guardian? We were in the bow shop, last night, and the owner asked me to draw the Guardian without looking at the stated draw weight.

OK.....I did it....and it was a task. I've got my Allegiance set on 65 lbs, right now.....and I told him it felt like AT LEAST 70lbs.

64 lbs.

So....it's gotta be faster than my bow, right? Nope. IBO's less than mine. It's not lighter (discernably).

What's the selling point for this bow? I'm sure it's a fine shooting bow....and I have faith in the company (I just bought one of their products). I was just wondering what the selling points are.

Thanks

I have a Bow Tech Tribute(2006) and absolutely love it !! I actually just got another 2007 Tribute for my brother and i'm in the process of setting it up.(lost a bet and had to buy him 1.. me and my dad split it) But the selling point I don't have a clue... I drew it back also and really didn't see much of a change from mine . And your right.. GMMAT.. I thought the string was tight also. Felt very heavy on the shoulder on pull back for the weight.
I guess it's just another bow to have out there and sell, and make a dollar. ButI only shoot Bow Tech, not saying it's the best but i really like them since it's my thirdone . Hope they sell, butleave theTRIBUTE alone that's all I ask..
My 2 cents

To me it is simple, we have reached the limit on bows(speed). They are not getting any faster, so bowtech(and others) need the wow affect to get us to by bow.

So they came up with a new design, that looks "different"

For one, you don't need a bowpress to change the strings and cables. The design is suppossed to providea more accurate shot with no hand torque.
As far as weights go, the Tribute and Guardian are the same; 4.2 lbs. The Allegience is 3.8 lbs.

No bow press needed for anything.

The strut in the middle pretty much eleminates cam lean and limb torque.

The limb tip travel is less than any other bow on the market which greatly prolongs the life of the limb becasue it isn't being "bent" as much as it is on other bows.

The minimal limb tip travel also reduces vibration and noise coming from the bow.

They are about 5% more efficient at storing energy and delivering that energy to the arrowthan any other bow on the market.

I don't have time to answer fully (in the middle of inputting some quotes for a hospital), but a couple things:

The center-pivot design and its accompanying cam system is the most efficient ever produced so far.

The design gives all the shootable advantages of a deflex riser with the speed asssociated with a typical reflex design.

Most everyone who has shot one has been literally amazed at how quiet and shock-free the bow is as well. I first shot it an enclosed single lane due to the fact the shop owner had just installed a new Techno hunt and taken up the other four lanes... Bare bow, inside such an echo chamber as that -- the bow was as quiet as my Tribute with a 6-inch Stealth stabilizer.

bigbulls, I got busy and it took me over thirty minutes to click the "ok" button... Hence the similarity in our answers. You beat me to it, though I hadn't seen your response...
