If you just went in and spent $1,200 on a brand new bow and its accessories and you were having issues with it after only a week and a half of use, you wouldn't be a little irked?
Exactly........the way I see it is you don't owe them or any other company anything. That kind of money is probably not easy for a teenager to cough up for a bow. Expecting it to last longer then 10 days before it needs repairs is not being unreasonable IMO.

I like Bowtech..........I own a Bowtech..........I will most likely own another. I do not however feel even the slightest twinge of loyalty to them or anyone else. You should be able to discuss things like this openly without being accused of "bashing" a company. You have said nothing wrong and all you are asking is to get what you paid for.

MY shop owners are being pretty damn rude about things. Why should I NOT be mad?
Once again this is where it gets sticky for you..........Bowtech tells you to take it to the dealer because it is his job to put out fires with the general public.........except when you go to the dealer he is not smiling anymore because you aren't handing him cash this time.........Now what??

I feel for you kid............sounds like you are not too far from being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Remember, the shop is a representative of Bowtech........and the first line of their customer service.

Good Luck

You're being jerked around by your proshop. I hate to refer to them that way. The industry is slow right now. There's no way they're two weeks behind with work. And besides that, all they have to do is look at it, call Bowtech and install a new cable. Email the guy at bowtech again. Tell him your plight and you find the service "HIS" representatives provide to suck.

I agree...............just don't be surprised if this causes you even more grief at the shop.

I worked in the golf industry for a few years. If you think some people are fickled about bows.....take up golf. Golf manufacturers do a good job getting things JUST RIGHT ou of the factory.....but there's times when an adjustment or a spec. has to be handled elsewhere.

Here's where it's SO important to have a shop that you can believe in. I'm sorry you don't have that, Dan.....but all I was saying is....these things happen. Bowtech's going to tell these guys to put a new string/cable on the bow. Why they don't go ahead and do that....is beyond me.

You wrote a WONDERFUL letter to Bowtech, earlier. I'd write them again....and tell them what's transpired. I'm also not so sure having to wait a little while is unreasonable OR outside the limitations of Bowtech's warranty. I honestly haven't read it.

Your beef is with the shop. I'd be extremely mad....and I might just ask for a refund for the "defective" product.....and find me a pro shop that wanted my business.

Dan, you should expect better. You might try talking to the store manager at Sportsmans. Make sure you remind him you would have expected much better customer service from his store.

I believe it, Jeff.

The shop that is considering sponsoring my friend and I is one I haven't yet visited as its on the other side of town. As soon as I deal with the problem I will go only to that shop.

I learned early on in life that you attract more bees with honey than you do vinegar which is why I'm not making as big of a stink about this as I could. There may come a point down the line where I absolutely need someone done at Sportsman's and if I expect to receive at least decent service with them in the future, I need to just take everything with a grain of salt.

I'm a fairly patient person when it comes to things like this.

I learned late in life, in my 40's, that u have the right toinform the company & the companies they represent, of the standard that is expected w/customer service. If you don't complain, then the necessary changes will not take place & what u experienced means the next 10 guys behind u will have the same experience. "The squeaky wheel gets the oil" is a fact. I don'tmean for you to go off on them, but a firmcommunication w/the superiors may change they waytheir customersare treated. Aslong as u are not abusive, they have no argument.
