I'm NOT a fan of the A/C Super Slims. I have 5 of an original 1/2 dzen that I boughta while back. Almost every one is split at the end of the arrow. I'm currently trying the Full Mteal Jackets and I feel that they will be more durable than the Slims.

I've been shooting A/C/Cs for about 13 years now and don't believe that there is a better hunting arrow on the market, and I've tried just about all of them. There's no comparison between an A/C/C and an all carbon arrow IMO.

Plus the safety feature. If you ever have a carbon arrow explode upon release, it gets your attention.

The Easton A/C/Cs that I shoot cost me $90 for a dozen. Not $10 a piece, but over $8. I don't know if there is a big difference between the big name brands. I just shoot Easton because I always have. Stupid reason maybe but since it works I don't mess with it.

It's like anything when it comes to archery or life in general -if you want the higher end stuff you're gonna pay for it. Do the aluminum/carbon arrows really offer that much of a benefit to justify the cost? For the majority of people, probably not. For those of us who just want to have "the best of everything" and can afford it, then yeah. They're straighter than the majority of carbon arrows and they're more durable that any aluminum I've ever shot, so in that regard they are "better". But then again, people have been killing deer with a stick, string, and wooden arrow for a long time now without worrying about any of this newfangled technology we all like to concern ourselves with.

I shot a/c/c's two years ago and switched to a/c super slims last year. I was and continue to be extremely happy with their performance and durability. My only complaint was that out of about 10 arrows I only had 2-3 that spun well with broadheads after a season of target shooting. Other than that, 4 dead deer and 1 dead coyote kept me a happy consumer this fall and I will be placing my order for more bare shafts in the next few days.

A/C Superslim user here as well. I love them. Very durable, straight and I have not experienced any splitting on the ends. I will be investing in some ACC's soon just for 3D but the Slims will be my hunting arrow.

Heck I shot 5 deer with mine and their ad says they'll shoot through a concrete cinder block....lol. I'm just having a hard time believing there's a discernable difference between the quality brands.
Jeff you're a golfer right? Let me make a comparison you can relate to..........is there a discernable difference between a Top Flite XL and aTitleist Pro-V1?

Exactly the same thing. ;)
