Default New to bow hunting

I'm new to bow hunting, tried it once when I was 16 but that was like 13 years ago. What is the best bow I can get for around $350? I've been thinking about a Fred Bear, are they any good? What other brands?

Thanks

Welcome to the world of archery , once you get started you'll be hooked for life.
$ 350.00 isn't gonna get much these days unless you shop around , but you can get a Darton Marauder with everything on it for $ 520. 00.
It's a good light bow and very fast and quiet heres a link to there web site if you want to check it out ( www.dartonarchery.com ) .

I know that the the Cabelas Outfitter Series PL 1.5 bow is on sale at cabelas.com and is $349.99. This is bare though. With everything it is $549.99. Great bow, and awsome bargain right now.

You might try the Reflex brand by Hoyt, or The PSE Nova line of bows. Not real sure of prices but good quality bows, just not top dollar.

Fred Bear bows are great for the price. I own 4 Bear bows use all of them.
Check Gander Mountain they have the TRX400 kit for under 300.

If you are willing to buy a used bow I think you could find something decent in your price range. Check out archery shops and pawn shops. I have seen some good deals on bows that people traded in or pawned. Good luck.

I picked up my PSE Bruin witha full set up for $320.00. I think its a good bow for the price. Go to some pro shops and talk with the folks that work there, most will be more than helpful. See if you can shoot a few and see what you like

I personally would suggest buying a used bow in good condition. This way you can get back into and have a bow that has a rest, sight, etc. and it will probably save you some money. You can always upgrade if you decide to do that, but there are LOTS of quality used bows. Just my $.02 but that's what I would do. I know there are some in the classifieds right now. Good luck!
