BJ12, I don't know you personally but I've followed your threads through the years.I don't post often but I'm not concerned with count. After 20 years, wow you deserve a new bow and with that purchase I can tell you didn't jump on any bandwagons and purchased the bow you wanted. Congratulations are in order.

Congrats on the new bow.
It sounds as though you went about it the right way with no bias and chose what you felt fit you the best. I wish you much luck with the new rig.

Very cool.

I enjoy reviews like these the most. Simple, practical, and real. Just a "regular" guy out shooting bows relaying what he saw, felt, and heard........almost like a conversation you would have with a buddy on the phone after he got home from shooting new bows.

You probably felt weird dealing with a cash register and getting a receipt

Congrats on the new bow and post some pics when you can.

Enjoy.

Congrats BigJ, on finely cutting loose with some of that hard earned money of yours, and getting a new Bow. I enjoyed your post, found it refreshing that you actually wen't through a process of selecting one based on performance and fit. I rote a story once called Junk Yard Bow!! I put one together with a bunch used and scrap parts from local shops. I had less than 100.00 in it, and the arrows. I painted it flat black with spray paint. All this was just to prove a point to some of the local boys that blamed everything on their equipment. After posting over all high score with it at a 3D shoot, I can still see some of the Shooters standing around looking at it leaning up agenst the bow rack (By now the spray paint had started flaking or was rubed off by my hand, it was one ugly mother) when I came back from getting a Pop. I said, Sure is Purty ain't she. Some thought it was funny, while others found it totaly offensive!!! Which was not my intensions. Any way the magazine I sent the story Junk Yard Bow into, sent it back with a very polite letter saying thay enjoyed the story, but it may be a conflict of interest with some of the Bow Co. that spent thousands of dollars advertising with them every year to sell new Bows. Hay I can understand that, but looking back maybe the story just sucked and thay were being polite!! I'll never know for sure. Hay nothing wrong with trash can or junk yard bows, But it's really nice to spend the money on a pretty new one ever now and then!!! Good luck with your new Bow.

That's the best way to do it, shop around and get the one that feels the best to you.
