how old is this buck Just woundering and would you take him if it would be your first buck even if you hunt a area that has lots of deer

He is young. But I won't be the one shooting him, so it doesn't matter if I would shoot him or not. Don't not shoot something because of what other people would or wouldn't do. Shoot what makes you happy and don't worry so much about what anyone else would do.

A summer bodied 2.5 year old and No, I would not take him that fall, I'd give him one more year, that's me and I'd tell you congratulations if you did.

I would take him most likely. Although it may depend on when in the season it was. I may pass early on (but most likely not). He's a young deer yet, maybe 2 1/2?
