Is there a statute of limitation on entering a deer in P&Y book?
Just wondered.. My father killed a deer back in '78 with his recurve.. and back then he didn't know anything about scoring deer or record books. He has it mounted in my Grandma's living room. I'm pretty sure that it'd make P&Y score wise.. just didn't know if there was a statute of limitations on getting them entered? I assume that there prolly is.. but never heard it mentioned before.[/align]

If your dad is still alive, he can enter it. I'm not sure if you could enter it if he were not alive. I think that the hunter has to enter it.

Yes he's still alive.. I kind of wanted to get it done for him as a sort of suprise. But I guess that's out of the question.

Kbacon
You can have the deer scored for him although he is the one who would have to be the person to enter it into the records program.

Kbacon..I don't mean to hi-jack your thread..But it looks like your question was answerred.
But your question and Buckeyes answer brought a question to my mind. (Geez hope this isn't Atlas Fuel..lol) But how does P&Y confirm that it was an archery kill? Is this just by a sworn and maybe notorized statement?

Thre's a guy here in my town that sawed the head off of a roadkill buck and had his picture taken with it. He claims he took it with the bow.
We have another man here in town that has a picture of the same deer (with its' head ON)on his cell phone....and a picutre of the dent in his truck.
Who to believe?????
Our sport/passion isn't devoid of SCUM.
