Tonight's deer was pretty expensive, too. He snapped off both ACC shafts in him, and both were tipped with Rockets which are basically throwaway heads...
Hey, if you need more, you could sell the Lexus and buy a dozen....[&:]

Sounds like a good way to close out the season. Unless you do try to fill that doe tag. Good luck and CONGRATS!!!

I am going to get out a few times next weekend. But the last weekend of the season I have to go to Peoria, IL with my daughter for a Gymnastics Meet, leaving Friday evening and getting home Sunday evening.

Oneshot, there was no pic... He was a 10-pointer.

All we've got around here are whitetails, Greg.

Great story and great season!! How well do those game carts work in a wet bean/corn field?

That's funnythat I was just telling my wife about that, Coug... Actually, not bad at all, really. Sure beat the heck out of dragging a 190-lb. lump a half-mile.

But it was enough to let me know I've got to make a concerted effort to get my butt back in shape before I take my elk trip this year.

Reason I asked about the carts, been looking at them. I am 52 now and I am not fond of dragging! Its so wet here right now I'll have to drag or something because I don't wanna drive in the farmer's lane. I wish it would freeze a few days, at least till season is over.....

I know... I only had a 50-yard drag to get him out of the woods, but I was afraid to drive across the wet field for the same reason. Hence the half-mile "pull"...

And hey, I'm 36 and not fond of dragging -- especially not big Illinois bucks.
