Afterall, PBJ is my specialty!! I did at least take the time to finish it off before getting down to dress the deer. She fell within sight so tracking her was more of a ceremonial process than anything else.

This is the first deer I've killed that didn't have "ground shrinkage". When I got to her, I was surprised by her size. Her head looked huge.

I also knew that I had my work cut out to get her out of the woods and to my truck. I'm sore today but it was worth every bit of it.

Yesterdays doe was deer # 15 for me. I went about 8 years without hunting until last year.....which I was skunked. My muzzleloader kill about 2 weeks ago was cool because it had been 8 years since my last one but really didn't seem that special to me.

My bowkill yesterday feel like my first kill back when I was a teenager. Other than my muzzleloader kill earlier this month, I can really only remember, vividly, 1 hunt. It was my first ever kill which was a small 8pt buck. I think 15 years from now I'll still remember this bowkill the same way.
