BTW I have to add.... The barbells...... Bada$$.....I am nearly 27 years old and struggle to grow a stach without the bells :D;)
That's my hunting look! I thought it looked cool too, but after 4 months of that, the GF decided it was time for a new look. I went to the barber today and lost the hair, long sideburns and the barbells. You know, the power of the patch! [:-]

It's starting to come back already, I can feel it!;)

RE: Scoring Question?

I don't thinkI made my pic very clear as to what I thought was what... So I labled the other points as well on this photo.

I had circled the main beam in my first photo and thenlabled what I thought was the G2. I think motown thought I had circled what I thought was the G2.

How does the beading go upthe main beam? Does it show you anything? What are your thoughts from handleing the rack?

RE: Scoring Question?

At first I thought that the MB was the one you didn't circle. But most people that saw the deer thought it was the one you circled. I will be getting the cape and antlers back maybe tomorrow. I'll take another look and matbe post some better pics. It's a weird one.

RE: Scoring Question?

Well I learned something today as well. Last year I cheated my teammates out of some points. I only two two H' measurements on this buck, one at the base and one at the midway point on the spike side. I just couldn't see measuring 4 H's on that spike.[&:]

RE: Scoring Question?

Ok Rob IMO a spike should get zip on the H measurements.

No no, if the official way to score it is with 4 H' measurements by all means, that's the right way to do it. I didn't know so I didn't do it right.

RE: Scoring Question?

Every year.....there's a few charitable deductions I get to take off of the bottom line of my adjusted gross that I feel a little sleazy about. It just don't feel "right".

I think I'd feel the same way with the "H" ADDitions on a spike. Of course.....I don't guess there's too many spikes ever scored, anyways. there HAS to be somebody among us who's a master at scoring spikes???????

Sorry.....nevermind. Off topic.......

(I hate it when I do that)

RE: Scoring Question?

I am writing the logic for our Big Buck contest, and when you read the sheet you would think no H measurments. Between the bur and first point, there is only 1 point.

I got the book and the 4 equal measuremts is correct.

RE: Scoring Question?

This one is from another contest 24 5/8 seems about right to me.

This is just so I get the logic right, I will haveour auto score sheet check for erros. Like if the deer has 2 points(1L 1 R) we know the H measurments must all be the same.

RE: Scoring Question?

Take a look at the link. It seems to me that you only take circumference measurements between points to a maximum of 4 measurements. I know that link is for a non-typical, but the typical is the same minus the extra stuff.

https://www.pope-young.org/ScoreSheets/NT-WTC.pdf

Edit: Man, now I don't know what to think. This all seemed so easy before this question came up, and now I don't know.
