Is it better to sit in a blind and rattle antlers or stalk them and hope to get a shot. I am asking about blacktail and muleys

You could sit if you do locate a good reliable trail or food source. In southern New Mexico it is such a large area to hunt that spot and stalk generally works better.

good luck

I love to stalk and hunt , but there are deffinately times to wait and sit. In thick bush and dry leaves its deffinately a good idea I think. But its really hard to sit still when the animal could be right over the next bluff. Im trying to sit and be patient but its really hard.
Good luck

Stalking whitetail , blacktail or any other animal for that matter takes alot of patience and skill , taking on such a task and then harvesting your prey is truely an accomplishment .
Hunting from a blind is much easyer and less leg work envoled , ground blinds have made itpossiable for alot of hunters even those that are handicap to get out in the deer woods and enjoy the sport of hunting.
If your hunting in open counrty such as the great planes ofKansas or Nebresaka , stalking would be difficult where as if you hunted in an area that has lots of cover.
