Default Never Give Up!!!

Well last week I experince my fisr misfourtune bow hunting. I took a shoot that a may be I should not have. Any way it was a perfectly placed shoot but the doe was able to jump the string pretty bad, quartered away from me and I was unsure about the hit. I trackd the deer for the first 100 yards with no blood trail. Not being able to find the arrow I wanted to make sure that the animal was not injured. Buy the time my mind was at ease I turn to head out of the woods only to find a small blood trail. I could not believe my eyes. Anyway to make a long story short after folowing what was a pretty good blood trail for approx 3hrs next to a highway through someones yard and finally in the middle of a large field, I found her I think that it was a quarter after MIDNIGHT... I felt very bad about my misplaced shot but I would have felt much much worse had I not found her. So, never ever give up even if the shoot was questionable.

Tim, great job with the recovery...way to stay with it. Can you post some pics, after 3 hrs of tracking and it being 11:45 probably to wore out to snap a couple shots.

Congrats

Everyone makes a bad shot, sooner or later,no matter how hard we try not to. It's what you do afterwards that seperates the real hunters from the rest. Congrats on a well deserved deer.

Wild! Congrats! I watch the animals reaction to the hit. Helps in derterminig where the hit if any was made. You put the grip on it, that's the main thing.

Congrats on finding the doe. Should eat just fine.

Question: Where did the shot hit? How far from the point of impact did it run?

Very Nice! Way to have the determination to stick with it and recover your kill. You're obviously an ethical hunter with a bright future. Congratulations.
