Default Im covered with 1 1/2 year olds

Man, what a year. I havent seen a mature buck since mid Oct. early Nov. The biggens were a tad to much in the brush but i have been absolutly covered in 1 1/2 olds.Yesterday i seen 3 bucks 3 does, all bucks 1 1/2 olds. This morning i seen 6 bucks and 10 does 4 bucks were 1 1/2 one was 2 1/2 but had one side broken off at the base and one was a button. plus all the others i have been passing on. I have been working my tail off trying to get on a Big Boy. I know they are there as i have found some enourmous rubs in alot of areas on the 800 acres and watched quite a few big boys all summer, velvet thru hard bone. But on the bright side all those young bucks have a really good chance of making it thru the rest of the season now that the season is almost over. anyone else having the same problem.
ps: dont get me wrong, im having a ball watching and learning the habits of the younger bucks. i get a smile on my faceeverytime one shows up.
Dan

I bet I've let 20 of them walk by under 20 yards this year... with a handful of 2 1/2-year-olds thrown in as well.

Sounds like your property is going to be awesome in a few year. Good luck on a big one.

I'm in the same boat you're in. I've seen (in my core hunting area) 4 deer that were 2-1/2 or older. I harvested 2 of them....but there's a lot of 1-1/2 yr olds in there that will be NICE, next year.....and an (at least) 3-1/2 yr old that is already a STUD. I've got my eye on a BEAUTIFUL 1-1/2 yr old 8-pointer, already, for next year. He's BEAUTIFUL. I'm hunting 2 deer for NEXT season, already.

Good luck to you.
