Sick to my stomach........**Edit 7/16 - Mount Pics**

Well the buck we had 2 encounters with this year at APAJaws property in central NY is dead. I shot a doe he was running and got a peek of him sneaking away on 11/6, and another one of our crew saw him feeding in the clover patch the week before I saw him.
We found him today gut shot, laying near the stream. The yotes got him pretty good and we guess he has been there since Monday, maybe Tuesday. We just this weekend finished finding his other shed from last season as well (we now have both).
The only good news is that we cut the head off and will be getting him mounted using the cape from my NY rifle buck that was killed 2 weeks before off the same property.
We rough scored him as a mid to high 130" buck gross, as a main frame 10 tiny 1" G4's but plenty of mass. He also had 7" G3's, 9" G2's, and 6" G1's as well as an 18" inside spread w/ 22" main beams and an H1 measurement of 5 4/8"............[:@]
.
Pictures to follow tomorrow..........
I was really hoping he would get to make it till next year. We still don't know who shot him, but hope to find out more soon. It wasn't anyone from our party, we suspect someone on the public land next to us got a poke at him w/ a rifle.

That's tough. I have several deer I hope made it through the orange army. I won't know until I see them. I do know if they stay on my landowners property they are safe, I also know no deer were shot on his or adjoining property but I'm not sure where they went since archery. Hopeful tho.
