Krisken,
I'd love to help, but I'm a little out of the loop on youth bows these days. I'm sure he'll get a ton of replies now. I'm guessing that with it being hunting season, most folk's minds are elsewhere.
Congrats on getting your son involved in archery. It's a great family sport.

Krisken and son PSE makes a nice youth bow as well as mathews and Hoyt I think that most manufacture's make youth model bows but when I was about 10 or 11 I myself got into 3-D shooting and started with a Pse that had a blue riser and black limbs. So from experince I like PSE bows. Good luck buddy and try not woop up on your dad too bad this spring. If you need any more help feel free to shoot me an e-mail I would be glad to help you out in anyway. [email protected]

Congrats for getting a young person involved in the sport! For youth bows, I would look into the Bowtech Rascal. The Rascal is available in many models with different colors and draw lengths/weights. Good luck, hope you find what you need!

Bowtech Rascal is probably the best going, another you might look at would be the Buck Spike made by Champion Archery.

Krisken,
Sorry about the lack of post to your son. As JRW said, with hunting season here, the forums aren't quite as busy right now. I'll pop over to the IBO and send him a post. Great job in looking after him!
Have a great season.

I have been looking into this extensively, 1 for my wife and 1 for my son and so far the best (IMO) is the Browning Micro Midas. You can get the complete package for $200-$250. I will also pop over to his and give my opinion. I am like you I love the fact that my wife and son want to do the same things as me unlike other families you see. I just haven't been on here much lately.
Best of luck to you both.

I don't know what he can pull but I bought my 10 year old a PSE Outlaw this fall. His draw length is a problem because he is small. The bow was right in the neighborhood of $200. He is absolutely deadly accurate with it.
