The moon has been staying out in the morning for quite a while the past few days. I seem to see pretty good movement when the moon is in a daylight sky. what is your experience with this situation. I'm planning on being out there tomorrow AM and I feel pretty good about my chances.

When the moon is full it sure can get crazy...
I start howling and eating people, never during the day light though, I save that time for hunting deer!
Seriously, I haven't ever been able to tell a difference one way or the other with the moon phase. There are stats to support both schools of thought. Moon phase vs. shorter days and colder nights, but you know how those crazy stats work... However you want them too, that's how!

Yes, when the moon is over head or underfoot, you should be in the woods or in the field etc.....I understand this to be more substantial then the phase....

Well for that matter I guess you could say "you want to be in the woods no matter what the moon phase, just be in there all the time", because that's sure to increase your luck!

i ahve always found that full moons equals deer in the woods and new moons equals deer in the feilds because they want to be where they can see predators in the dark and that influences where they come out and when
just has always been reliable for me

as long as there is a moon there will be deer, and as long as you`re in the woods you will see them, aside from the rut,the moon seems to play a substantial role in movement, supposably the moon even affects the rut,but the rut does`nt happen on the same day every year so who knows.BE IN THE WOODS

I don't know but at work all this week where you can't hunt I've seen 50's of deer out in the fields from 11 or so till about 1 in the afteernoon. On my way in to work(5-530am and dark with moon riseing)and on the same groundsI see them laying in the fields where the headlights go. Any other time on the way in they were up and about and I would see a few during during those for mentioned hours. So I guess you could say it was the moon, don't know. I too believe as Rob in the positition of the moon more so than the phase of it even though the moon was 3/4 or moreacross the sky during these daylight sightings.
