I dont know whats gotten into me but tonight I let a buck walk right past me while rifle hunting in Pa. JUST SO I CAN HUNT HIM WITH A BOW IN THE LATE SEASON!!!! I saw several deer including a nice doe the sad thing is I still have a doe tag also.I never thought the bowhunting would consume me like this, Just hasn't been the same since our season ended. Has this happened to the rest of you?

Yes you can, but you cant leave your treestands set up,Well I guess you could but you definitely will be buying a new one before next season. Our rifle season ends saterday and the woods will be empty. Just so crowded around here lots of people that you have never seen. I would also be afraid of losing a deer before it went down to a rifle hunter.

I go out with a Gun a few times a year.Every time i go the last couple of years it just don't feel like hunting. There's just something about being up close on personal with a bow that you can't get with a gun.Bowhunter for LIFE!

I would have shot them both and they would be on their way to becoming sausage in the morning.

I can appreciate the love for bowhunting, but I love rifle and ML seasons as well, and would have smoked that buck with a rifle. I agree that if you love bowhunting that much, (it reads like you really prefer to harvest with your bow) then bowhunt during rifle season.
