Big Bucks & the WWW!?
#1
Hello everyone,
I was just setting here thinking, how many of these huge bucks we are seeing posted online are coming from deer farms (160+ inch trophy fee $12,000.00) or high fenced enclosures.. kind of makes you wonder!?
With so many deer farms popping up across the U.S. it seems all it takes is some BIG MONEY & anyone can kill the buck of a lifetime.
What are your thoughts on these types of "trophy's?"
Later, Phil B.

Well you can't say all or none..that's to heavy of a statement. Surely some are and some aren't.
Perhaps a better question is how many are killed on an outfitted hunt versus a, do it yourself hunt.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with an outfitted hunt, I've been on one! But I also passed up bucks on that hunt that i'd droll over in my home woods. My hunt was in Texas and it was NOT in a high fenceenclosure.
It was a great time..although different...even the "satisfaction" was a different feeling..but i'd love to do it again.
Also this was a one price hunt, i could take a spike or a world record, the price did not change based on the kill and there were no outfitter imposed limits.

A purchased trophy will never give you the same satisfaction as a natural one. Plus the stories are short. "Got there, sighted in, sat in box, decided/got told which one to shoot, shot, had someone else track, skin and process." Wow what fun eh?
