RE: Deer Mount Prices
I checked with several around here and I went with a place close to me and he's charging me 285. He is a down to earth guy that is easy to deal with and does excellent work so I am very comfortable with my decision. There are a few the charge less and some that charge more... I did not like what the cheaper places did and wasn't impressed by the one's that charged more so I went local.

I don't know for sure since I don't mount them anymore. I mountd a couple of early bow kills maybe 25 years ago. So no need after that. This 8 point cost me around $125.00 probably around 1978 or 79. Today I think they charge from $350-550 around here. That's not a terrible lot to cover inflation in almost 30 years.

Depends on quaulity you want, 450-500 for good work. If you want a temporary 250 in this neck of the woods. I personally have never mounted a deer I refuse till I get one that goes 150 plus I do alot of european mounts. A buddy of mine is a wood worker and comes up with some awesome plaques and displays I show him were I want it and he blows me away with his work everytime. I just no 150"is just around the corner literally

You know, it's kinda funny.
I paid a friend of mine 250 last year.
He said he raised his price to 480 this year.
He figured out that he was making minimum wage at best at the old price.
Doing favors for friends gets old rather quick.
Start studying taxidermy like I am right now. You'll see what's involved.
No sense doing it for others if you make nothing in the end.
