Default Foot wear

What type of boots do you wear while deerhunting?

I usually wear rubber boots with 1000 gr. thinsulate.
I also have a pair of regular hunting boots with 600 gr. thinsulate that weigh only 29 ounces each that I wear when hunting in warm weather or while stalking.

I have 4 pair of boots. They go by temp. Uninsulated rubber slip ons, 50 degrees and up. Wolverine goretex, 800 gr thin., 35 degree and up (my favorite, light like tennis shoes). Rocky Blizzard Stalkers, 1200 gr thin., 20 to 35 degrees. Lacrosse Icemans, pac boots, 20 degrees or less. Cold feet have been my biggest problem since I started hunting. Left foot gets cold first. Must have poor circulation in my feet. This system works for me. I can get 2 hours in the coldest conditions without feet warmers.

Untill it's too cold, my most comfortable leather hiking boots. I rub some doe or buck urine into them before I go out b/c people say leather holds human smell too much.
For around zero it's Sorrel's. No good for walking, but very warm.

I have always wore Rocky's, But this year I broke down and bought some danners and absolutly love them! I mean I still wear the Rocky's wich are the Beadclaw 3D, and they are awsome, but the Danners are way better if I know that I am going to be walking alot!

Take a few aspirin to improve your circulation, it works! Also spray unscented antiperspirant on your feet if you sweat, you're wet and cold!
