Where are you from?

So from looking around it seems like there's a lot of hunters from different places. Where is everybody from? Do you have to travel to hunt or are you pretty close to your cabins? Me and my cousin are from northern Minnesota. Our other cousin on here is from the twin cities so it's a lot more of a drive for him to come up and see us. Anyways, I have two cabins.Ones a half an hour away and the other is an hour away. Not too far. What about you all?

Just north of Flint Michigan. I usually hunt 5 minutes down the road at an 80 acre farm. Or at my dads place about 30 minutes away. He has about 17 acres.

I also hunt some state land up north about 3 hours away every now and then.

I'll go up to the Kalkaska area once a year to visit family and do a little hunting and I've hunted in Hillsdale county a few times.

Here in central wis. i used to shoot deer with a bow at the end of my street.@2 blocks. Now i go all over, from a 5 minute boatride to a 48 hour drive to hunt with a bow.Im kind of a nut about it i guess, but i could think of worse adictions.

Missouri here, I do 95% of my hunting right here on the farm, I can walk out the door and be in any of my stands in 15 minute or so walking. I have a lease or two close by, within about 20 minutes drive, but dont hunt them as much.

RE: Where are you from?

I was born in New Albany , Indana just across the Ohio River from Louisville , Kentucky where I grew up . I mainly hunt in my back yard these days , though I sometimes drive up to an hour to hunt public properties , or sometimes private land when I get an invite . The closest I come to having a cabin is when I pack in a pop-up blind , but I can almost literally shoot deer from my back door , which I'm currently working on . ;)

Southeast central Illinois. I can drive to public land in 10 minutes, but most often drive 20 minutes to hunt some private land by permission. I can also hunt the family farm in Indiana about 45 minutes away, but never do. Hunted Colorado last year and that was a great experience! Always wanted to visit the Ely, Minnesota area.........Jerry Mckinnis once said that was his favorite area to fish.

I hunt right outside my apartment building, in town. There's a monster ten spot fawn that hangs out with another little sibling and a little doe. I see them in the parking lot all the time. hahahaha. Just kiddin. I have seen them a few times though. After this season, I feel like running them over in my car. (I could probably jump out the window on it's back and ride em around town.)

RE: Where are you from?

Fredericksburg, VA.

My favorite spot is private property, about 10 min from my house. It is owned by a good friend and only hunted by a few.

My next favorite is property owned by my family, and is about 1 hour 20 min drive. Good area though. I'm usually the only hunter, other than the local poachers.
