LATE SEASON TACTICS
This is my first season bowhunting. I am going out tomorrow and saturday here in PA. Right Now it is our 2 week gun season. I am guessing that the rut is over. So I am wondering should I still be using a grunt tube or rattling or bleating or using scent attractants. What are somethings that work for you later in the season.

RE: LATE SEASON TACTICS
Hunting the food sources is about the only way to hunt around here, in the late season, and after the rifle hunters. The harder the winter the better. Good luck

The rut isn't over yet. Go ahead and use your grunt. It is a social call.It is a little too late to rattle though.

RE: LATE SEASON TACTICS
The bucks are all done with the does here and are resting up after chasing and breeding for the last few weeks. Not much is gonna get them up for a few days. My advice for right now, hunt the buck's bedroom...once they've had time to rest a bit, hunt those high protein food sources (acorns).

RE: LATE SEASON TACTICS
scentology videoby code blue, i no these guys are pushing there product but the things talked about in this video make a whole lot of since. I would use buck scent with a buck grunt and/ or growel. If you have a few days to hunt I would try a few different things, you never no what a deer will respond to. Experience is priceless. Good luck and happy hunting

RE: LATE SEASON TACTICS
My tactic will be to hunt over a 1.5 acre field that I planted in almost half turnips. It is a primary feeding area and borders a sanctuary and bedding area that hasn't been disturbed since last February. They are hammering the turnips right now since the apples, acorns, and corn are gone for several thousand acres.
