Little pork on the ground.

Went out looking for deer and yet agian, only found hogs. Actually saw a few small bucks, a young six point and a young eight point. Little younger than I wanted to shoot. So at the last hour, I went and found some pork.

I know they're not what you're after, but I've always been envious of the chances you have to kill all those pigs!

Way to go! Man I have to get a recurve to hunt with. I love bowhunting hogs and I think that will add some excitement and challenge. I saw a big ol black boar Saturday evening that I really wanted to stick. Unfortunatly he stayed out too far. Thats OK though, I can try all year to get that sucker!

One day I will hunt hogs with you. Sounds like a total riot and the eating will be even better.

Now you're thinkin'. ;)

Do you smoke up the hams yourself on those pigs, Burnie? Is the meat better than domestic raised stuff? Never had feral pig.

Bob
I almost always smoke the hams. Ill cure them first in a honey cure for about 5 to 7 days, then throw them on the smoker. They come out great. Much leaner than a domestic hog. The meat has more of a beef consistency. I really like them. Ill take a hog out to campouts with buddies and will have nothing left by the end of the weekend.
